TESTIMONIES Small group and one-on-one MTB sessions
Hey - I really enjoyed the skills session - I am now bunny hopping over every (tiny) stick I can find and Mt Annan was a great place to practise skills. Lisa (May 2013)
Hi Will, Just a thank you for today, it was great! Cheers, Virginia (April 2013)
Hi Will, Thanks again for your classes and for the recommendation that I get a new bike. I did really enjoy the Mont and being on a bike that fit, that was mine, was certainly part of it ... I appreciated that you have a girls only group. Learning with boys, who are so fearless, is intimidating, even if they are being thoughtful / patient. Thanks again, Beck (March 2013)
'Will, I did go out around Olympic Park at the weekend, and the pop wheelies and pumping of the bike were coming on a treat. I will definitely be up for signing up for some of the trips as the mountain biking trips I've done have all been such fantastic fun. Thanks again for the tips. It's a great course and I have been recommending to friends so hopefully a few will sign up.' Jen (Nov 2012)
'Hey Will, We had such a great lesson today - thanks again. With a few practice bunny hops on the curb and some tight corners we should be ready for Rotoura!! Many thanks.' Abby (Sept 2011)

Our stable of MTB skills coaches includes:
MTB XC Coaches
Chris Southwood, Editor of Flow Mountain Bike who lives to ride; his first word was 'wheelie' and his wife tells us he sleeps in a pair of knicks (creepy!). If it's got two wheels, chances are that Chris will have ridden it. From cross country to down-hilling, dirt jumping to (dare we admit it) road riding and everything in between, Chris lives and breathes it all. Chris has extensive experience as a cycling skills coach, having worked as a mountain biking instructor both in Australia and North America. He has produced two highly acclaimed 'How To' DVDs, as well as numerous published instructional articles. No matter what style of mountain biking you're into, Chris' low key approach and uncanny knack to explain even the most complex skills will help take your riding to the next level. A clip of Chris' abilities.
Chris is currently riding: Currently clearing house - bikes to be added very soon.
Kath Bicknell - ever thought about doing a PhD, how about writing an entire thesis on MTB'ing!? Yep Kath did! She looked at how expert level MTBers become highly skilled at managing split modes of conscious attention to maintain flow states, and race better as a result, something you can look forward to achieving after a session with Kath! She has also been riding, writing and teaching MTB'ing for years. For more info on Kath - click here Kath is currently riding: TBC but she rides them all with panache
Brad Prescott - you name it he's raced in it. Brad goes by many names of which I'm sure you'll find out once you've spent sometime with him. A great guy who also knows a thing or two about bike maintenance. He is currently the manager of Turramurra Cyclery's workshop and is a real asset to the store. Shall we go on ... why not - Brad has worked a Test Rider and product tester for AMB Magazine since it first started in the late 1990's. He was a member of the NSWIS (NSW Institute of Sport) Junior Development squad racing XC MTB/State XC Squad. Made the Australian XC team at Junior level. He has raced the State, National XC series for years and years (definitely not recently...). He's raced numerous 24hr races in teams of 4 and 6 and raced in the odd 50km enduro and goes alright. He knew Manly Dam before it was a highway and has been known to do a lap of Manly Dam Highway in 26.37 when sufficient doughnuts were offered as a prize. Unbelievable but true, he once cooked a treadmill in one of those 'Gym' places, is totally verse in the fine art of Razzzz and Kapow - MTB TERMS - he can explain at one of his sessions. Finally, he has coached 1/1 tech skills sessions for many years, plus group sessions and loves a good laugh, as you can see from the photos below.
Brad is currently riding: TBC a true man of mystery who lets nothing out of the bag.
Will Levy - lover of anything on two wheels. Will has been riding since the days of delivering prescriptions to little old ladies on his Mongoose, with tuffs, around the lower North Shore of
Will is currently riding: Giant Anthem SLX 0 - 26'er Giant XTC 0 29'er Composite Cannondale CAAD 10-1 Last but not least - the never to be forgotten Yellow Yolanda - Trek 7000 - love her - old skool picture above!
Nash Kent - brings over 15 years experience in the bike industry including 9 years with Trek Bicycles Australia as the NSW Territory Manager. He has also been on Lane Cove Council's Bike advisory committee and Managed the Mace Elite Road Squad. Nash has raced his bike around the world & represented Australia in Road Cycling. He is an, active member of Lidcombe Auburn Cycling Club, Central Coast - Ourimbah Mountain Bike Club and races successfully at State level events including being the NSW criterium champion at a stage in his career. He grew up on motor-cross dirt bikes and an amazing ability to ride XC, All Mountain and DH equally well. Nash is currently riding: Focus Izalco Team 1.0, a Trek Session 8 Downhill rig, and a Trek 7.2FX to work.
